Taeguek Poomsae SymbolisimUm and Yang (the blue and red on the Korean flag) represent harmony of all life force. When the harmony becomes unbalanced the stronger of the two overflows into the weaker creating an unbalanced state of Um and Yang. The state of balance and unbalance between the two forces constantly fluctuates throughout life. These constant changes however follow a certain orderly coarse without exception.
